Kings Bowl, an expansive bowling, dining and cocktail venue located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, is again partnering with NFL cornerback Charles Tillman to host the 4th annual Charles Tillman Celebrity Pro BOWLer Tournament on Thursday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Tillman will recruit his friends, teammates and colleagues for an evening of great bowling, delicious food and festivities to support the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation.
The list of participating celebrity bowlers will be announced soon. Past celebrity guests have included Matt Forte, Major Wright, Patrick Mannelly, Jermon Bushrod and Johnny Knox, among others.
First held in 2012 at Kings’ Rosemont location, the Charles Tillman Celebrity Pro BOWLer Tournament has attracted hundreds and raised more than $430,000 in support of the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation, which provides opportunities and resources to underprivileged children and their families.
“Kings has been our partner in this event since its inception five years ago, and we are excited to bring the tournament to their new Lincoln Park location,” said Tillman. “The Cornerstone Foundation strives to make a positive impact on our community, and this event brings people together to benefit some very special kids.”
Lane sponsorships for the Charles Tillman Pro BOWLer Tournament are available for $5,000 and include teams of six people, plus one celebrity guest. General admission tickets also are available for $100, and include entry to the event plus samplings of Kings’ made-from-scratch menu.
“Kings Bowl is grateful for the opportunity to welcome Charles, his teammates and friends to our Lincoln Park location,” said Patrick Lyons, founder of Kings Bowl. “Charles is not only a role model on the football field, but also has a strong commitment to serving young people, and we look forward to being a part of that.”
The Charles Tillman Celebrity Pro BOWLer Tournament is for ages 21 and over. For more information or to sponsor a lane or purchase a ticket, visit charlestillman.org.
Kings Bowl opened its first Chicago-area location in Rosemont’s MB Financial Park in 2012. Its 24,000-sq.-ft. complex in Lincoln Park’s NewCity development opened last November and features 16 tenpin bowling lanes, a full-service upscale lounge, 222-foot bar, Max & Leo’s pizza lounge, and game room complete with a variety of “low-tech” social games including billiards, shuffleboard, Foosball and air hockey.
