Stepladder Match 3

Dan Maclelland defeated Wes Malott, 216-213

Malott led from the get-go, but left a 2-8-10 split in the 9th frame to give Maclelland the lead. The Canadian could have doubled in the 10th to wrap it up. He got one strike, but left a 2-7 split to finish with 216.

So, Malott stepped up needing a double of his own to keep moving up the ladder. He calmly packed the first shot for a strike, then took a rerack, took his approach, and balked. On the reload, he went through the nose and left a 6-10.
