Perttu Jussila of Tampere, Finland had two great games of 264 and 278 included n his 1388 total to win squad five of the dream
Bowl Open Thursday morning, finishing 15 pins ahead of second-placed Chris Loschetter of the United States.
The 19-year-old lithe Finn, a member of the Finnish national youth team for the upcoming World Youth Championships, takes over as number one on the leader board. demoting previous leader Bodo Konieczny into second place by the slender margin of three pins.
"I bowled on the outside today," Jussila told us. "Yesterday I tried that and it felt OK, so I decided to do that today and it went well. Ig upu have the right idea how to play (these lanes) then they are pretty easy, but first I had no idea, so it felt very difficult. But when I found the right line, then it was very easy. After the first two games I changed to another ball. At first I used a Hammer then changed to a Virtual Energy. Now I'm hoping that my 1388 is good enough for the top eight on Sunday."
Two more squads take to the fantastic Dream Bowl Palace lanes today, the first at 15:00 and the second at 19:00
