by Gianmarc Manzione 0

Clara Guerrero, representing her native Colombia, sits atop the standings following the cut to the top 24 in the women’s division of the QubicaAMF World Cup at Sam’s Town Bowling Center in Las Vegas.

Guerrero, who is the defending champion, finished with a 24-game total of 5177, a 215.71 average.

Shannon Pluhowsky of the United States, who won the tournament in 2002 and 2004, qualified third with 5134.

Sandwiched between Guerrero and Pluhowsky is Sandra Gongora of Mexico with 5158.

Amandine Jacques of France joined her countryman, Mike Bartaire, in moving on to the next stage of the tournament — and successfully dealing with the trauma associated with the terrorist attacks last Friday in Paris — qualifying in a tie for 17th place with 4784.

It took a score of 4667, a 194.46 average, to survive the cut to the top 24 in the women’s division.
