Former Team USA member Bryanna Caldwell of Red Rock, Arizona, and John Brockland of St. Charles, Missouri, have earned United States Bowling Congress Sport Bowling National High Average Awards for the 2013-2014 season.
Caldwell, 28, claimed the women's title by finishing the PBA Experience Summer league at Golden Pin Lanes with a 215 average for 50 games. She recently tied the national record for highest series by a woman, rolling games of 300, 279 and 300 on Sept. 16. The 879 series matched the set posted by Katie Verbil of Wichita, Kansas, in 2012.
Brockland, 50, averaged 233 for 64 games during the STL Sport League Winter league at Brunswick Zone Chesterfield to claim the men's award. Brockland is a member of the St. Louis and Missouri State USBC Halls of Fame.
