Anders Ohman of Sweden has bagged the much
sought after top seed place for the
stepladder final of
 the
inaugural Otremare Championships and can now
relax for a while until his challenger is
decided from the lower ranks.
The opening match of this exciting
four-nation finale will feature 300-man Kai
Virtanen of Finland against the well
experienced international, Thomas Gross of
Austria.
The winner of that confrontation will have
to fight hard to beat triple World
Championship gold medalist Zara Glover
(left) from southern England, the only woman
to make it to the top dozen. She is on
tremendous form and is attracting quite a
load of Italian admirers, especially for her
short and attractive skirt.
Should that match result in a win for Glover
and she progresses to beat Ohman, Glover
would join Britt Brondsted and Iben Chu as
tour event winners in 2004.
