The Globalair Travel Malta Youth Open

The Eden SuperBowl will be holding the inaugural Malta Youth Open from the 15^th – 17^th April, the event being made possible with the support of sponsors Globalair Travel Ltd and the Eden Leisure Group.

The tournament is open to all tenpin bowlers aged 24 years or less, and apart from the 50-strong field of local talent, the SuperBowl will also be hosting close to 30 young athletes from various European countries – excellent statistics for the first edition of what is to be an annual event in our calendar.

All entrants will take part in both singles and doubles events in their respective categories (U-16, U-18, U-21 and U-24) with trophies being awarded for the top three places in each competition. The combined individual performances from the doubles and singles will then decide the ‘Masters’ event, where the top six bowlers in each category will battle it out to decide the two Malta Youth Open Champions from the under-18 and under-24 sections.

The climax of this brand new event will be the Challenge Cup – which will feature the two Champs going head-to-head to decide the overall winner of the Globalair Malta Youth Championships.

Match-play commences with the Doubles event on the morning of Thursday 15^th April, when the Hon. Louis Galea – Minster in charge of Youth & Sports, is expected to officially inaugurate the tournament. Competitions will continue through to the finals and presentations on Saturday afternoon.
