GROSS BACK IN CONTROL

Thomas Gross of Austria (pictured) regained pole position after the four game stint of round three and will now tussle with defending champion Chris van Damme of Belgium over the seven games of the round robin later this afternoon.
Tobias Karlsson had a good chance for a second perfecto in the opening game but the usual stubborn 10-pin with the eleventh ball set him back to a 289.
Six nations are still represented going into the final stages and only Sweden and the Netherlands have two bowlers each.
