Chai of Malaysia (pictured) had to make a quick dash back from Amsterdam,
Holland on Wednesday night to get to Hong Kong in time to defend her 2003 Open
title. Chai was part of the Malaysian team attempting to defend their 2003 World
Tenpin Team Cup title, but finishing in a disappointing tenth position from the
13 teams. Despite nursing an injured foot, she is determined to make the
prestigious double here in at the SCAA Bowl in Hong Kong.
Four Hong Kong national team players will also be seeded into
the 28-player Masters field, including the top international Vanessa Fung. The
tough finals will also include Liza Del Rosario and Irene Benitez of the
Philippines, Putty Armein of Indonesia and Singapore's Jennifer Tan.
