An outstanding performance by Aussie
Jason Belmonte (pictured) in this stage saw
him leading the top
eight
into the final rounds later this afternoon and
evening. His high game of 279 set him well on
course for the best four-game series of the
day so far and if he can keep up this pace he
will walk away with yet another EBT title and
trophy, not to mention the substantial cash
prize.
His unique two-handed style has the crowds of
spectators gasping at the power of his
delivery. He's unique in another way, too, as
although he really belongs in the Asian zone
rankings, right now he's top of the European
rankings, taking over the position prviously
held by Paul Moor of England who failed to
qualify in this event.
The remaining eight players now bowl a further
four games and then the top four will advance
to the semifinals.
