Three hearty cheers for the fine performance of Denmark's Trine Simonsen. The 36-year-old schoolteacher from Viborg, a town just a few klicks south of Aalborg, really showed her male colleagues how to smash the pins about and came out top of the squad, the only person to break 900, but that with her 32 pin bonus.
Incredibly, there are still three survivors from that dreaded Desperado squad which kept us away from our beds until the wee small hours. Currently, they are bunched together in third to fifth places.
The high game this time a 254 from Hall of Famer Anders Ohman of Sweden.
