TOURNAMENT NOTES:
LOOK, NO HANDS!
John
Forst of Kegel (pictured, left) has returned
to Aalborg for the third successive year. The
lane conditioning maestro loves this city and
the Aalborg International is high on his list
of favorite tournaments on his comprehensive
calendar.
This year he's brought the new Kegel Kustodian
ION which will clean and condition around 45
lanes whilst running on its batteries,
therefore no cable to handle as this unique
machine runs up and down the lanes.
John's assistant in the picture is Lovvang
Bowl's Anders Olsen.
A NICE €1,000 BONUS
Mikael
Kanold of Sweden is pictured receiving the
bonus prize of €1,000 for topping the
qualifying round from tournament host and
managing director of Lovvang Bowl, Kim
Thorsgaard Jensen.
When asked what he had planned for his newly
won riches, Kanold replied: "Probably for some
more training and maybe some new bowling
balls."
As top seed, he seems to be doing pretty well
with the bowling balls he has now.
He next takes to the lanes in Stage 4 Sunday
afternoon with the top eight seeds joined by
the top ten from the previous stages.
