Kamilla Kjeldsen (pictured) of Denmark still holds pole position after 14 games and there are just two more to go before the distaff field cuts to 18.
Kamilla's lead over Ghislaine van der Tol of the Netherlands has increased to  68 pins. Fiona Banks of England is third and Ivonne Gross of Austria has progressed to fourth.
Two-time champion Martina Beckel is fighting for a place in the next round and is currently one pin off that vital 18th place with two games yet to be completed. Two other past champions are leader Kamilla and local lass Sue Abela, who is 15th at the moment.

Come the end of the block and Kamilla retains pole position, but this time Fiona Banks of England nips into second place tp out Ghislaine third. But it is 'sayonora' to past champions Martina and Sue as they finished 19th and 20th respectively.
Mai Ginge Jensen, she who hit Malta's first-ever ladies' 300 last night, looked very much like doing a repeat in the final game this evening but a stubborn 4-pin spoilt her chance on the first ball of the tenth frame. Nevertheless, she has fought back toi take fourth place.
The brave 18 to continue tomorrow morning for a further four games are anchored by Annika Kilander of Sweden. Her  3313 with an average of  207.06 holds the final qualifying spot.
