LET'S CELEBRATE BOWLING'
The top eight men and women from each of the
three zones of Asia, Europe and the Americas
will descend upon the incredible Kegel
Training Center during the first week of May
to t ussle
for the respective men's and women's titles of
World Master .
Last year this event took place in the City of
Kuwait and now the action moves half way
across the globe to the warm and friendly
climes of Florida, back where it was held in
2005.
Pictured left is men's champion Khalid Al-Dubyan of
Kuwait, flanked by runners-up Pasi Uotila and
Osku Palermaa, both from Finland. Right, lady
champion Sara Vargas of Columbia (center) shone above
Indonesia's Putty Armein and Helen Johnsson of
Sweden.
This year the zone qualifiers will also be
joined by the host zone's choice of Diandra
Asbaty and Bill Hoffman, both of the United
States and the favorites of many to clinch the
titles on May 7.
STOP PRESS - Bill Hoffman has an injured foot and is unable to play. Therefore
David O'Sullivan of Orlando, Florida, the
current National Amateur Champion, will take his place.2007 competitors (subject

PRIZE MONIES:
The prize money is the same for both the
men's and ladies' divisions with the
respective champions being awarded $10,000.
Place money is:
2nd $5,000; 3rd - 4th: $3,000 each; 5th - 8th:
$1,500 each; 9th - 10th: $1,000 each.
Each squad winner will be rewarded with $1,000
and there will also be a prize of $1,000 for
each of the leading qualifiers.
FORMAT:
There will be 24 qualifying games in each
division, using long oil, short oil and long
oil/short oil for each block of eight games.
The top eight men and eight women will
progress to the quarterfinals, a best of three
game section.
The finale will be televised on Monday
afternoon.
