No champion has successfully defended his title in the ten-year history of the World Tenpin Masters, and that will not happen this year either.
A heart-stopping first game with strikes from both right through to the eighth frame, made one wonder who would be the first to crack. A loose ball from Jason left a single pin in the ninth frame, but he doubled in the tenth to go into the second game with a slim two point lead.
Ball after ball buried in the pocket left single pins whilst Jason maintained his strike rate and emerged the victor.

Talk about a tight match! Nothing can come closer than this confrontation and a one pin victory for Paul Moor over Singapore's Remy Ong sees the Englishman in the final for the second successive year.
In the 2006 final, against American Chris Barnes, Paul held a healthy lead through to the eighth frame of the second game but suffered a wide split and with that open frame handed the match to Chris.
Now Paul faces Aussie Jason Belmonte in the final. A lefty versus the guy with the unique two-handed delivery. The feeling is that this is going to be a final to remember.
Apologies for the occasional delays with the scores. We're suffering internet uploading problems which we pray will not occur again through the final.

Well, it had the makings of a great final, but nobody would have thought that it would be this good. A bonus for the crowded Metrodome to witness the World Ranking Masters' second perfect game and just a nine-spare robbed Paul of a joint affair.
Nobody and nothing could withstand the onslaught of the high revving bowling ball from the unique delivery of Jason, so powerful that maybe the pinsetter has moved back a few inches after his six games today.
We've got to feel sorry for Paul, though. Coming second for the third consecutive year was heart-breaking. especially as this is one tournament he has his heart on winning, a really elusive dream.
One thing is for certain, there will be a huge audience when this program is aired around the world.
Can this event be bettered next year? We very much doubt it.
