The 2005 Qubica AMF World Cup
is under way at Gladiator Bowling Center in
Ljubljana, Slovenia. As a competitor, there
is a great sense of excitement that comes from
being a part of such a prestigious event,
known worldwide for its tradition as well as
its competitiveness.
Great sounds and colors were part of an
enthusiastic opening ceremony, filled with
important personalities of the bowling world,
as well as Ljubljana city officials.
The message was loud and clear, “Welcome to
Ljubljana and to one of the most coveted
events of the year.” Competitors from more
than 80 nations filled the approaches as the
podium was graced with the presence of Qubica
AMF organizers, the WTBA president and the
city’s mayor.
Bowling started Monday and I believe we all
face the challenge with excitement and high
expectations.
As the week goes on, and the leader board
takes shape, the atmosphere is for sure going
to be filled with the electricity that can
only be found in this high level of
competition.
For me, although the weather is a bit too
cold, the warmth of the Slovenian people is
enough to offset the chills. I look forward
to the competition with glee and expect an
exciting week at this years World Cup.

The World Cup gives me an opportunity to
compete against some of the best bowlers in
the world. It is a chance to see some old
friends and make some new ones. On a lighter
note, this is a title my husband can never
win!

The
QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup is definitely one of
my favorite tournaments. It has a certain place
on my schedule.
I like to travel, to see differnt countries and
to meet people from different cultures. The
World Cup traditionally goes to the major cities
in the world and it's always exciting to find
out where the next World Cup will be held.
As far as my Website
www.bowlingdigital.com is concerned, the
World Cup is one of the most important - if not
the most important - events of the year. Due to
the enormous number of countries that
participate in this tournament every year,
people all over the world are intersted to
follow my coverage. The Website statistics
during the 10-day coverage are fantastic. On the
other hand, the World Cup is also the toughest
job of the year, but I'm already looking forward
to next year's event. See you there!

The World Cup
is an honor to bowl. It marked the best year of
my bowling career in 1999 when I won in Las
Vegas and also took the Masters' gold in the
World Championships in Abu Dhabi.
It is fantastic to have the opportunity to meet
with everyone again and enjoy a week of fun,
bowling and
friendship.

I love the
keen competition and the chance to visit with
friends from all over the bowling
world.
