LADIES' ROUND THREE - TOP 18:
Just eight members of the gentle sex now
left in the competition as the sun sinks
slowly in the west and there's just the round
robin and stepladder final left on the ladies'
schedule tomorrow (Sunday).
Of
the eight leading positions before the four
games of this round, the same eight stayed in
the group, but there were several changes of
positions within that octet.
The Swedish city of Boras can utter a sigh
of relief as at least Barbro Hjerten
(pictured) remains the leader in the ladies'
division and their Ewa Krantz is currently
fifth.
Defending champion Farida Pascoal-Blom of
the Netherlands fell to 16th place so is out
of the 2005 Senior Open. Up into third place
is Malta's Doris Camilleri, the 2003 champion,
who also won the Malta Open, way back a few
years.
Bowlers from five nations will contest the
round robin at 12:00 on Sunday.
Competition opens at 09:00 Sunday morning
with the top 18 men playing four games to set
the top eight for their round robin.
