ON
THE LANES WITH GOOD AUTHORITY
Place a 'prancing horse' logo on its front
and paint it a bright red and you now have the
Ferrari of lane conditioning machines.
The brand-new Brunswick Authority 22 is making
its European debut at the 2006 Brunswick Euro
Challenge here in Thessaloniki, Greece,
setting up an incredible and much appreciated
scoring condition for the record number of
competitors in this year's event.
Taking the science of lane cleaning and
conditioning to yet another level, the
Authority 22 is operated throughout the
tournament by experts Dave DiRito and Tom
Brown (pictured, right) from Brunswick
headquarters in the United States.
The advanced technology of
this eye-catching piece of equipment is
mind-blowing. No hit-and-miss oil transfer
from wicks and rollers, now each board can be
targeted with direct application
from
the 39 jets and then the conditioner is
blended with a buffer brush.
The whole program is controlled by an
on-board micro-processor with up to 50
patterns stored in memory, each of which can
be given a dedicated name for quick
identification.
The unique and effective cleaning system
can be matched to the conditioning patterns. A
duster cloth cleans the lane before
application of cleaner and a 'V' squeegee head
design guides waste to the on-board tank.
The cleaner and conditioner tanks are
sufficiently large for the machine to operate
ove r
40 lanes
without
filling or emptying. Both tanks are clearly
marked and do not require funnels to be used
when replenishing.
This is a machine with an electrical system
that utilizes the cutting-edge solid state
technology specially adapted to the lane
machine environment. Electro-mechanical
components that are prone to failure and
degrading are eliminated. Return to Main Page
