WHAT ARE THE ODDS? Well, who
do you think will stand atop the
podium next Sunday evening, the 2005
Brunswick Euro Challenge champion?
And
what are the odds it could be either
of the past champions, Denmark's
Britt Brondsted, the winner of the
inaugural event in 2004, or the
defending champion Jens Nickel of
Germany?
Both are on the well-filled entry
list of players from 27 nations but
there is so much talent on parade
that whoever it is to be crowned
champion will perhaps have the most
difficult series of squads on the
2006 European Bowling Tour.
Difficult it certainly will be,
but enjoyable, too, for the
Brunswick Euro Challenge is one of
the friendliest and happiest events
on the Tour. The superb facilities
of the Strike Bowling Club, plus the
friendliness and efficiency of the
center's staff, may be matched but
never exceeded around Europe and
beyond.
Meeting maestro Bill Hartofillis, the Strike center proprietor
and local Brunswick distributor, is a
memorable experience in itself, one
that you must have enjoyed if you're
on a return visit. If this will be
your first encounter, it will be one
you will never forget - the guy
(pictured left above) is a human
dynamo. It is no wonder that he was
the Bowlers Journal International
Proprietor of the Year in 2005.
