SEMI FINAL – 28-02-2010
After the hussle and bussle of the three sessions today, the top three positions for tonight’s stepladder final have now been decided.
Number one seed is young Thomas Larsen from Odense, Denmark. He continued his enjoyable strikefest trhough the day, posting 947 over the final four games, to total 2570 as a finish, holding a 72-point buffer over second placed Dominic Barrett from Frinton-on-Sea, England.
The opening match will be an interesting encounter between Barrett and Colombia’s Luz Adriana Leal. The Catalan government love to see women doing well in bowling and seeing that Leal has just moved to Barcelona from Bogota, and will soon be working for the Catalan Bowling Federation. We hope they don’t take a cut of her winnings.
I’ve just been reminded that Leal won bronze in the Masters of the WTBA World Championships in Reno, 1995. Quite a career.
