Bowlers Journal International publisher Keith Hamilton broke with his magazine’s decades-old tradition in the October issue, noted for its annual listing of bowling’s most influential power players, by recognizing a group of individuals he called the “PBA’s Super Seven.”

Hamilton paid tribute to the seven men who have been responsible for bringing professional bowling to the grassroots level for years – the QubicaAMF PBA Regional managers – along with their “leader,” PBA Director of Regional and PBA50 Tournaments, John Weber. The other members of the “Super Seven” are PBA East Region manager Russ Mills, PBA South Region manager Sam Zurich, PBA Central Region manager Bobby Jakel, PBA Midwest Region manager Rich Weber, PBA Southwest Region manager Pete McCordic and PBA West and Northwest Region manager Gary Mage.

The seven men combine to produce more than 170 tournaments for men, women and “senior” bowlers each year, giving the future stars of professional bowling an opportunity to develop their skills against proven stars in close-to-home, affordable events while bringing high-level PBA competition to the grassroots public across America (and, now, in Japan as well).
