Pinel loves to push the envelope for total hook and rotational energy. The Mania delivers the goods as it hooks as much or more than many of the super premium products.

The Curve offers great length with a quick, angular move off friction. We found the Curve required only moderate amounts of oil in the fronts and midlane for its easy length.

The Mission is one strong midlane arcing product destined for PBA volumes and for those needing an early enough breakpoint when encountering heavier volumes. Slower speed players and those with higher rev rate ratios will undoubtedly smooth and/or polish the Mission to delay its rotational energy and preserve entry angle.

Mid-price does not always mean mid-performance. The Riot provides control and great pin carry on lighter to medium volumes of oil. The Riot will read the lane sooner and smoother than will the Dark Star due to the solid reactive cover.

The Dark Star offers very easy length through lighter concentrations of oil, followed by a strong quick arc off friction. Heavier volumes will cause midlane and late wiggle with box finish, so a scuffing or sanding may be warranted in this environment.

The Solid Strike reacted slightly earlier and stronger in oil compared to company’s earlier pearl Sure Strike. The 2-3 board difference is minimal albeit noticeable as the ball reads the midlane better. Hitting power and usability are quite good as this core/cover combination will match up well on many medium and medium-heavy oil volumes.
