Mike Fagan of Dallas and Ashley Rucker of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, took the lead after the first three games of the 2014 United States Bowling Congress Summer Team USA Trials on Friday.
Competition resumes Saturday with the second round at the International Training and Research Center. All rounds are being broadcast live on BOWL.com’s BowlTV.
Fagan led the men’s division by a wide margin with a three-game total of 749. Corey Simmons of Wichita, Kansas, is second with 689, while Kevin Andes of Wichita is third with 668.
Rucker fired 633 to top the women’s field, while Team USA member Shannon O’Keefe of O’Fallon, Illinois, is second with 603. Christina Halen of Kennesaw, Georgia, is third with 582.
