Update: TOC Changes Linked to PBA Revenue Projections

UPDATE: PBA Commissioner Tom Clark told Mark Ambrogi of the Indianapolis Star that moving the 2014 Tournament of Champions to January in metro Detroit was a budget issue.

“Some measures had to be taken due to revenue projections [for 2014] not matching expenses,” Clark said. “Due to the TOC being late[r] in the year, that site and television production were canceled by the PBA. But we wanted the TOC and our full calendar of PBA bowling on ESPN to survive, so we moved the TOC to our earlier (January) event site in Detroit.”
