Thursday morning squad, 21 strong, with 1312 to take his place in Sunday’s final.

“I told you yesterday I was going to win,” he joked after his post-squad photo session.

Petite Nina Flack from Sweden was runner-up to Colomer but well off the pace with 1288 including her eight pins per game bonus and Munich’s 2010 Dream Bowl Palace Open champion Ghislaine van der Tol placed third (1282).

Three more squads take to the lanes today, all fully booked at the time of writing, although some entries may be cancelled from those who have already qualified for Sunday’s finals.
